What a wonderful treat to go support Jose for the production of the Whole of Time #bilingualplay
I saw the previous run at Torn Page and it was great to see the same cast, different venue.
We decided to go support with actress friend Sofi.
They’ve been doing so great, organizing Q&A most nights. It was fascinating to learn about the process.
The physicality and rhythm in this production is remarkable. I asked how did they get there?
It turns out that in between both runs, they went back to doing a rehearsal period in Spanish, the original language of the play, and found so much intimacy with their characters that the cast was then able to reflect in the English production.
I’m really impressed with that discovery. It’s exciting to see all the different ways to bring authenticity to the work.
The only issue apparently is that every time, doing the run costs Josefina her foot!
It was worth it for us. 🙏🏼
